Emily Campbell
Educational Consultant, Inclusion
My key knowledge areas: Universal Design for Learning, Decolonized Pedagogy, Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Assessment and Evaluation, Facilitation, Coaching and Feedback, Educator and Leadership Development, Learning & DEIB Stewardship.
My role within the team: As a partner, collaborator, and coach, I build capacity in our educators and the broader educational community to create more inclusive and equitable teaching and learning. I offer consulting, facilitation, and development of mindset, programming, skills, and resources. My goal is to come alongside others as we learn together in this continuous and evolving journey.
My background: I am of settler background and I have had the pleasure of living, learning, and working coast to coast on this land. I now reside as an uninvited guest on unceded, traditional and ancestral syilx territory and I am grateful to be here.
I have a BA from Dalhousie University, a BEd from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary. I have a background in K-12 education, having worked as an intermediate/secondary teacher and department head for French as a Second Language and French Immersion. More recently, I have gained industry experience that includes adult upskilling and educational programming; learning and development consulting; and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging stewardship. I am passionate about creating inclusive learning, and building capacity in others.
When I’m not working… You can find me downhill or xc skiing in the winter, and hiking or biking in the summer with my partner and extended family. Day to day, you can find me on a local trail trying to wrangle my toddler and two dogs. I love an early bedtime and I am particularly fond of saunas (though I am still learning to appreciate the cold plunge afterwards…).
