Presentations

Three presenters will share their work in this 75-minute session. Each presenter should plan to speak for 20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A while the next presenter gets ready.  We strongly encourage presenters to not exceed 20 minutes, as this cuts into the time of your colleague giving the next presentation.

There will be a moderator in the session who will introduce each presenter and then update the presenter about the amount of time remaining. An technician from UBC Okanagan Media and Classroom Services will be there before the session begins to help with set up.

We’ll be using the podium computer in LIB 312 and LIB 317 to display slides and other media. If you have slides and media to accompany your presentation, please bring it on a USB memory stick to the room before the start of the session so we can pre-load it onto the podium computer.

Workshops

Workshops are 75 minutes long. There are breaks in the Program before and after each workshop session if you need to set up.

If you’re facilitating your workshop in LIB 305 and LIB 306, you’re welcome to re-arrange the tables and chairs (on wheels) to support interaction and collaboration.

There are podium computers in LIB 305 and LIB 312 so you can use it or bring your own computer. There is no computer in LIB 306 so please bring your own, or contact us and we can arrange for Windows PC laptop.

There are small, portable whiteboards in each workshop room and every conference attendee will have whiteboard markers.

Posters

The poster session and reception are on Monday, May 6 at 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Commons Galleria. Two posters share a 4′ x 8′ bulletin board so each poster presenters can plan for a 4′ x 4′ area.

Please hang your poster any time before 4:00 pm. Push pins are available at the Registration Desk. Presenters should remove their posters at the end of the session as the bulletin boards will be removed Monday evening.
