The CTL assists faculty in gathering artifacts for the promotion & tenure process by offering assistance in developing teaching portfolios.

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is an emerging movement of scholarly thought and action that draws on the reciprocal relationship between teaching and learning at the post-secondary level (Boyer, 1990).

UBC Okanagan Teaching Fellows Opportunity

This is an opportunity for faculty members of UBC Okanagan that recognizes 10 faculty members with outstanding teaching, scholarship, and educational leadership activities who contribute broadly to the teaching and learning mission on campus. Recipients receive $2,000 to fund teaching and learning activities.  

Graduate Students

Teaching Assistant Development

Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students play a vital role in creating rich learning environments. The CTL partners with TAs to create a learning community that provides support and professional growth opportunities.

Learning Design Intern Program

LDIs are graduate students with intensive training in the fundamentals of learning design in the context of blended learning. LDIs support faculty members in adapting their courses for blended delivery.

Open Educational Resources Grant

The UBC Okanagan Open Educational Resources (OER) Grant pilot program provides funding and support to UBC Okanagan faculty who wish to adapt or create open educational resources.
