Important!

Camtasia’s online video quizzes feature cannot currently be used. This feature collects users’ personal information and transmits the data to servers outside of Canada, meaning it does not comply with FIPPA. Additionally, the feature gives Camtasia license to reproduce, distribute, display, and otherwise use your quiz content. To add quizzes into Camtasia-produced videos, you can upload the videos to Kaltura, a built-in video streaming and storage service in Canvas that offers FIPPA-compliant quizzing.

About Camtasia

Camtasia is a desktop capturing software that also supports video editing. It is available for both Windows and Mac.

With Camtasia, you can record anything on your computer screen, including websites, software, video calls, or PowerPoint presentations. Record narration and webcam video as you capture your screen, or separately. In the video editor, you can add text, transitions, effects and more. You can also remix footage together.

Once you are done editing your video, you can upload it to Kaltura to make it available to your students in Canvas.
