My key areas of expertise: Communication and marketing strategy, equity and inclusion, public relations, event management, copy writing and editing, and general office administration.

My role within the team: I assist the team with all administrative and event-related duties. I actively look for ways to streamline administrative tasks to alleviate the workload for colleagues. I manage finance and HR tasks for the team, as well as manage calendars, schedules, facilities requests and meetings. I am involved in several planning committees for events and Communities of Practice. I also assist the Equity and Inclusion Office, doing the same work.

My background: I have a Bachelor of Communications, with a major in Public Relations. I worked in the oil and gas industry for many years as an External Relations Advisor, with a focus on equity and inclusion, media relations and social investment. I worked in partnership with Canadian Geographic to bring an energy awareness program to secondary schools across Canada, working closely with Educational Consultants to create impactful resources to be included in Canadian curriculum for students from K-12. I have acted as a marketing consultant to new businesses, helping to create successful launches and long-term strategy for consistent growth.

When I’m not working… You can find me spending time with my partner, our son and pets. I enjoy swimming, camping, enjoying the outdoors and cooking. I have a passion for arts, culture, fashion and building community.
