Indigenous Initiatives

We are grateful to the Okanagan Nation on whose traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory our learning, teaching, and meaningful collaborations take place. Members of the Okanagan Nation deeply enrich our programming by generously sharing their knowledge, ideas, history, language, culture, resources, and support.

We are committed to learning from Indigenous peoples and communities.

The work of decolonization, Indigenization and reconciliation belongs to all of us.

“If it does not strengthen Indigenous communities and support the resurgence of Indigenous intellectual traditions it is not Indigenization” (Gaudry & Lorenz 2018)
