As future educators in higher education, it is very important to critically evaluate educational technologies and thoughtfully integrate them into your teaching practice. This micro credential will develop your ability to assess the strengths and limitations of various learning technologies and align them with specific learning outcomes.

Overview of PROGRAM and Outcomes

  • Analyze and critique the strengths, weaknesses, and pedagogical value of various learning technologies.
  • Identify and justify the selection of technologies that align with specific teaching objectives, course design, and student learning outcomes.
  • Design a plan to effectively integrate technology into a learning environment, considering how it enhances engagement, assessment, collaboration, and knowledge retention.
  • Demonstrate how educational technologies can be utilized to achieve particular learning outcomes, enhancing student learning experiences and supporting diverse learners.
  • Engage in reflective practice to evaluate how educational technologies can support or challenge traditional teaching methods and improve learning environments in higher education.
  • Incorporate relevant research and examples of best practices in educational technology to inform decisions about integrating technology into teaching.
