Assessment and Design Strategies

Description

This non-credit credential equips educators with the knowledge and skills to design impactful, student-centered learning experiences based on instructional design principles and learning theories. Through hands-on activities, participants will conduct a front-end analysis, develop measurable learning outcomes, align assessments and instructional strategies, and implement formative evaluation techniques.

Learning Outcomes

  • Design effective learning experiences based on design principles.
  • Conduct a front-end analysis consisting of a learner and context analysis.
  • Articulate learning outcomes and competencies that align with a completed front-end analysis.
  • Demonstrate constructive alignment by designing instruction in which learning outcomes, assessment and learning strategies align.
  • Design authentic assessments of learning, for learning, and as learning.
