My key areas of expertise: Qualitative research, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, active learning pedagogies, classroom facilitation strategies.

My role within the team: Primarily student development, most notably the Teaching Assistant Training Program. I support award processes, workshop facilitation, teaching and learning research projects, consultations… a little bit of everything!

My background: I completed my bachelor’s in medical biochemistry, then pursued a doctorate in chemistry and education. It was a challenging and rewarding transition from science to education research! My passion for learning quickly transformed into a passion for teaching. I’ve taught labs as well as small and large classroom courses at Okanagan College and here at UBC Okanagan and have been able to find success in creating and evaluating tools and resources in these teaching environments.

When I’m not working… I’m probably rambling about the Canucks or my latest culinary creation. Other than that, you can find me relaxing on the lake or travelling the world with my partner 😊
