My role within the team:

  • Providing consultation, facilitation, programming and resources around inclusive teaching and learning practice 
  • Equity Lead of the StEAR Framework implementation for the Centre for Teaching and Learning (2023 – present) 
  • Workplace Wellbeing Ambassador (2023 – present) 

My background:

  • Originally from the island of Cyprus, I am an immigrant to Canada and an uninvited guest on unceded, traditional and ancestral syilx territory 
  • Theoretical Physics, PhD 
  • Higher Education Coach (anticipated ICF ACC credential) 
  • Past work experience includes:  
    • Facilitator for the American Physical Society’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Alliance (APS-IDEA) 
    • Science Teaching and Learning Fellow of the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative at UBCV 
    • Scientific Outreach Officer for the Institute for Quantum Computing, Waterloo
