My key knowledge areas:  Leading multidisciplinary teams in the provision of education and learning-technology services; pedagogy; learning design; technology-mediated learning; Agile methodology; conflict resolution.

My role within the team:  I guide CTL’s operations to advance excellence in learning through inclusive, innovative, and evidence-based teaching practices as well as enhancing the technology-mediated learning experiences. With focus on agility, capacity building, and innovation, I collaborate with the team and external partners to ensures continuous adaptation and leadership in higher education, always prioritizing the evolving needs of those we serve.

My background:  My professional journey bridges education, learning design, and technology-enhanced instruction. I hold an MA (with honors) in Learning Technologies and Pedagogy, and have led multidisciplinary teams in both healthcare and academic settings to support inclusive, evidence-based teaching and learning.

Earlier in my career, I worked in software development, leading the front-end team focused on user experience and interaction design. This creative, fast-paced environment sharpened my appreciation for intuitive, human-centered systems, an approach that continues to inform my work in educational contexts.

At Vancouver Coastal Health, I led the Learning and Technology team, developing programs to support healthcare professionals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we rapidly scaled distributed learning strategies and created educational programs adopted across multiple health authorities. This experience deepened my commitment to responsive, collaborative, and learner-focused approaches.

Now at UBC Okanagan, I bring this cross-sector perspective to my role as co-leader of the CTL, working closely with faculty, staff, and partners to support teaching excellence, foster innovation, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement while centering the needs of educators and learners.

When I’m not working…  You’ll find me on forested slopes with my dog, inventing hiking trails. Alternatively, with family and friends, exploring quirky art and music shows.
