Earlier versions of the Writing and Plagiarism and Unauthorized Collaboration and Cheating AIM courses expire on October 31, 2025. Banners on AIM Canvas courses indicate if they will expire and provide links to the new versions of the courses.
If you are familiar with the AIM Canvas courses, here are some additions and updates to the Writing and Plagiarism and Unauthorized Cheating and Collaboration modules:
- A section on Indigenous Academic Integrity
- Updates that reflect what academic integrity looks like in 2025
- Explanations for every self-check quiz so students can learn from their mistakes
- Real-life scenarios interspersed with streamlined course readings
- Updated GenAI section
The self-enroll links and instructions for assigning an AIM course for class credit in Canvas are available on the Academic Integrity Faculty Resources page.
If you do assign the AIM Canvas courses for class credit, remind your students that they have to view ALL the pages and complete ALL quizzes to get a generated date on their certificate of completion. If not, their certificate will state “NOT COMPLETE” in lieu of the date.
