National Indigenous History Month

Celebrate National Indigenous History Month – June 2025

June marks National Indigenous History Month. This is a time to honour and learn about the rich histories, languages, cultures, and experiences of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada. It’s an opportunity to engage in meaningful reflection and action on reconciliation, fostering relationships grounded in rights, respect, and partnership.

National Indigenous Peoples Day – Saturday, June 21

Observed annually on June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day coincides with the summer solstice; the longest day of the year. This day holds deep cultural significance for many Indigenous communities and is a time to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding contributions of Indigenous Peoples.
