As we are launching into a new academic year, we want to remind you of free tools available to you to help make your course content more accessible:
✔ Use the Accessibility Checker in Canvas to help guide accessibility improvements of your course content. You can find it in the toolbar below the rich text editor when you are creating or editing content in Canvas.
The tool checks and flags common accessibility errors, such as missing alt-text, incorrect heading levels, issues with hyperlinks, and others. While it does not check for all potential accessibility issues, it provides a great starting point and allows for quick fixes directly inside the tool.
